When I left, the COVID-19 situation was at its peak. It was a time of great uncertainty, and I remember nervously preparing my visa, fearing that my departure might be hindered. The atmosphere at the departure lounge was vividly etched in my memory, with people heavily clad in protective gear. Now, not only are such protective suits rare, but it’s also common to see people at the airport without masks.

The opportunity for overseas work has been long awaited. Initially, I never intended to return to Korea empty-handed. Whether through changing jobs or starting a business, I resolved to use this opportunity as a stepping stone to live as a global citizen. A day before my return, I even organized the house I lived in for two years in Shenzhen. Now, I have no fixed place of residence in Korea or China. I will live wherever in the world business demands, whether it be in China, Thailand, or Korea, for a short period of a month or even several months this year.

I anticipate this visit to Korea to last for about a month. During my stay, I will personally visit the partners and clients with whom I have communicated only online thus far, and extend my greetings. If any of you who come across this message have not yet established a connection with us, please feel free to reach out, and I will make every effort to meet with you.

<Photo: Pixabay>

It has been over 800 days since I left Korea on January 6, 2021, at the beginning of the new year, and returned just now after more than two years.
